Meet the Team: Darrin "The Service Expert" - Director & Management Marvel With decades of experience in management, Darrin leads DarBro with a steady hand and keeps a keen eye on customer satisfaction. Managing director by title, mentor by nature, Darrin ensures that every aspect of DarBro reflects our commitment to excellence. Darrin brings over 25 years of trained mechanical experience to Darbro RC Model Shop. Starting his career at Scania in Zimbabwe, he worked his way up to manager, honing his skills and expertise. Beyond his impressive mechanical background, Darrin is also a trained Microsoft engineer and a security guru, ensuring our customers and our operations are both efficient and secure. Additionally, he was a trained private pilot with experience flying Cherokees, Cessna's, and Piper Cubs. An avid online gamer, Darrin combines his diverse interests and extensive knowledge to ensure top-notch service and management at DarBro. His dedication and multifaceted background make him an invaluable asset to our team. Bronwen "The Budget Boss" - Director & Financial Guru Behind every great venture is a person who keeps the numbers in check. Bronwen, our financial director, is that person at DarBro. With her financial acumen, she ensures that our operations run smoothly, enabling us to focus on what we do best – serving you. Bronwen is not only our financial guru but also a versatile and dynamic director at Darbro RC Model Shop. Trained in accounts, she expertly manages our finances to ensure smooth operations. In addition to her financial responsibilities, Bronwen oversees our website and social media presence, keeping our community informed and engaged. Outside of DarBro, she runs a successful holistic business, demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to wellness. Her multifaceted skills and unwavering commitment make her an indispensable part of the DarBro team. Daniel "The Tech Titan" - Director & Technical Whiz From graphic designs to cutting-edge technology, Daniel, our technical director, is the mastermind behind the IT side of DarBro. His expertise in the technical realm ensures that we are cyber safe and secure, and everything is running at its optimum. Daniel is our go-to expert for all things technical at DarBro RC Model Shop. Splitting his time between ensuring our customers IT systems are secure and operating at their optimum, he also lends his expertise to help with the RC track and administrative tasks. Daniel's dedication and technical prowess ensure that both our digital and physical operations run smoothly, making him an essential pillar of our team. "Our Incredible Volunteers" - The Heart of DarBro Our success at DarBro RC Model Shop wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support and dedication of our volunteers. They have been instrumental in repairing RC cars, donating essential materials, and investing their valuable time to establish and enhance our RC track. Their tireless efforts and enthusiasm have been vital in making Darbro the vibrant and thriving community it is today. We are deeply thankful for their unwavering commitment and energy. Our Journey: DarBro's journey began when we, Darrin, Bronwen, and Daniel, driven by a shared passion for technology, initially ventured into the world of computers. However, as the landscape of the IT industry evolved, so did our vision. Recognising the growing demand for RC models and the need for a community-focused hub, we made the leap into the world of RC planes and cars. But as fate would have it, just as we were gaining momentum, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, presenting us with unforeseen challenges. Forced to relocate due to the demolition of our premises, we saw an opportunity to not only rebuild but to reinvent ourselves. Embracing the spirit of resilience, we decided to shift our focus entirely to all things RC, doubling down on our commitment to providing enthusiasts with top-tier products and unparalleled service.
